Worth More Than a Glance

WORTH MORE THAN A GLANCE

I have no magic spells to cast, no grand seductions and no elaborate schemes.
And I am not on the fast track to the cover of some fashion magazine.
I am a girl with a voice,
And part of me is still afraid of boys when they ask me for a dance.
Oh I am heart and soul,
I’m tears and dreams.
There’s so much more to know than you can see.
And if you’d give me half a chance,
You’d know I’m worth more than a glance.
I was never the pretty girl out on the football field being crowned homecoming queen.
And it’d have to be a whole new world for this face to grace the silver screen.
And I’m the girl whose mother always told her
That beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
