House Concerts are such a wonderful way to support singer/songwriters and the marvelous original music that you create. I totally enjoyed your delightful performance at the House Concert this past weekend. Keep up the great work!

VERY nice, indeed, you make me relax. Songs are formatted, make sense, and touch the parts that matter.

Stay true, stay focused = never say NO, if ya don't mean it. And, Always! Say YES, if ya do, otherwise, you might pass up life.

Libby & Mike Morgan - Wednesday, March 11th, 2009 11:58 PM CDT
How can you get more beautiful? Just wanted to tell you that Mike ran into the bedroom with the paper and woke me at six o'clock a few mornings ago. He was yelling, "Look at this gorgeous creature in the paper!" Yes, it was a stunning photograph. But you really have to stop getting prettier soon, or you'll glow so brightly we won't be able to look at you anymore.

We (the whole extended family) watched you on the telly and on the web. Hate to break it to you, but your folks are gorgeous, too! Good for them, and you all deserve a thousand hugs.

And thank God for David, for always seeing and loving who and what you are on the inside. Lucky you.

And lucky us - we get to hear your just-right words and *that voice.* Can't wait to hear you with the Philharmonic. They might do you justice. (Please don't tell Joel I said that.)

A hundred hugs,
Lib

God bless you!

Take care,
Caitlin

Oops...hit the wrong button. Just enjoying reading your blogs and really, just watching your lives (yours and David's) evolve. David, I watched one of the vids you have on here and you looked just like your dad (my friend). And then, David, you wished your mom Happy Birthday. That's my birthday, too. (she knows that). Anyway, I enjoy that you are enjoying each other so much (yes, it's easy to see, even from afar). And, I wish you the best! Just before I turned to your website, I was looking at the street maps of Manhattan...funny how things fit together, somehow. My best to you both.

Judi & John Awsumb - Monday, November 24th, 2008 9:39 AM CST

kristina mastellone - Tuesday, October 21st, 2008 10:33 PM CDT
your music, especially when i have the very great pleasure of watching you make it, has played such a wonderful role in my life over the last year and a half. there is almost something magical about it. your lyrics make me think, your voice astounds me... but more than that... the joy and love you put into you music is palpable, being close enough to touch it makes my world slowdown and all the love i have ever felt returns and, even in the saddest moments of your most difficult songs, i am not alone. i know this is a bit over the top, but i really want you, and whoever else to know the effects you are capable of creating. thank you

Beth Persac - Tuesday, October 21st, 2008 12:42 PM CDT

Happy Birthday!

Sean - Monday, August 6th, 2007 9:59 PM CDT
You and I and iTunes make for strange bedfellows, with David Grohl on guitar. I was looking up the Foo Fighters' "Times Like These" and listened to a few other artists' songs of same name and slipped across your own.

Back in college in the 90's, I went to a lot of underground poetry/open mic nights and I'm sure you were never there. And I'm sure you could have walked right in. You have a friend's guitar, an honest pen and a voice I've heard over a comfortable cup of coffee.

All my best-
Sean

Hi KC---

I'm Beth Hall's friend who went to Florida with you and David a couple of years ago. I just wanted to tell you that immediately following that trip I "borrowed" Teeth-marks from Beth and told her I was never giving it back. I have kept my word. I recently put it back in my CD player (okay...by recently I mean 3 weeks ago)...and have let it cycle through every day since. It is the only music I have been listening to for 3 weeks, which is exactly what happened the last time I played it. This is glorious work, KC---lovely, lovely art.
Please let me know when you'll be in Nashville again and when there will be more music for me to add to my collection.
You are realllllllly fabulous, my friend.
: )
Trish

I've been somewhat of a fan ever since seeing you at the Bluehouse gig back in '02 ...it seems like so long ago. Anyway I bought your cd back then and have eagerly awaited a follow up. I used to check up on your website regularly to see if there were any updates..but alas, there were none, so I gave up. Until tonight. I love the new site and I will be ordering the new CD asap. Hopefully you'll come back our way sometime. Until then...cheers :-)

Hi K.C.
Long time since you were here in San Antonio. We want to get up to Okemah for the Woody festival. Rachel and Niko are growing up quite nicely writing songs and singing with the family band. We have a regular Friday gig at The Cove where we met. Let us know if you want to come back down--we still have guest quarters that you can use for a song (literally). Is there a good songwriter venue that we could hit up your way? Have tents, will travel.
Your San Antonio fan base,
Jana, Andreas, Niko, and Rachel
P.S. We don't have a website yet but you can see and hear the kids at

Katie, I meant to say,"Aha, when I was about age 50, I realized that in order to heal the relationship with my daughter......(the rest is the same)

Sharon Jensen - Tuesday, May 31st, 2005 12:30 AM CDT
Hi K.C.,
I'm a friend of Bob and Diane's. (and yours) Of course I love your music and so does my son, who is 43. Your comments about mothers and daughters are profound for a woman of your young age. When I was 30, I thought I was so much smarter, dah, dah, dah, than my fashionable, stylish mother. She hadn't even finished highschool. (Heck, I haven't even finished college). Anyway, to make a long story longer, when MY daughter grew up and didn't want a respectful, loving relationship with her mother (that's me) I couldn't understand it! Aha, at about age in order ,to heal the relationship with my daughter, I had to heal the relationship with my own mother. And heal we did. I lost my mom to cancer 4 years ago. I have no regrets because we were able to have a wonderful, supportive, respectful and very loving and accepting relationship for the last quite a few years before she died. And guess what? Now my daughter and I pretty much have the same. Halleluia (sp). Wish you the best. You're a very wise soul.

Laura - Monday, May 30th, 2005 9:26 PM CDT
I loved your song for katie (trailing stardust)!!

Dylan Morris - Sunday, May 15th, 2005 7:31 PM CDT

This is a beautifully designed website. I'm going to push it to all my friends. I listened to your songs last night and have not been this taken with a new cd in a long time. Your lyrics are haunting and the music is a fresh blend of so much I've loved of folk and rock ...and bluegrass mandalin. All made new. Thank you for being a writer of love songs.

K. C., This is so beautiful--the whole web cite. As soon as I got home from the writing group, Gene and I listened to your songs and he wondered why you'd let people listen free when the songs/music is so beautiful and worth $$$. "She could be rich with a voice like that," he said. Now I'm getting ready to read your posted journal.
Peace,
Judith
